By-catch in the specialized fishery of target crab species near Kamchatka

Results of the assessment by-catch in specialized fishery target crab species are presented. The studies covered three fishing areas: off Western Kamchatka (Kamchatka-Kuril and West sub- zones) southeastern coast (Petropavlovsk-Komandorskaya subzone). In addition to object, catches included both non-target crabs representatives other groups animals: fish invertebrates. several genera, most common being Pacific cod ( Gadus macrocephalus ), Irish lords Hemilepidothus sp.) snailfishes Careproctus sp.). Among invertebrate by-catch, octopuses Octopus often prevailed by weight red king Paralithodes camtschaticus ) Tanner Chionoecetes bairdi Eastern Kamchatka.
